Beauty

to showcase shu uemura mini khaki lashes, photographer mark darren mui and i worked with a theatre student from york university, amanda z, to put together a serene beauty look. or in mark’s words: “a cold and peaceful beauty”. this is our creation:

beautiful and talented model fei ren from vancouver contacted me on facebook to see if i was interested in collaborating for a creative shoot. photographer mark darren and i were totally on board. we worked together for 2 days creating 4 different looks, one of which i used shu uemura’s rouge unlimited lipstick. the photo turned out to be a true work of art.

after making it to the top 20 finalists, the competition was on! we all received a box of makeup from which we had to work with and specific guidelines for each challenge. the first challenge was a makeup look inspired by the japanese cherry blossoms using shu uemura’s dreamy petal palette and partial floral lashes. with the help of photographer mark darren mui, this was my submission:

my idea was to contrast the cold winter snow with the sunkissed bronze summer face. photographer mark darren mui did a fantastic job in capturing the look:
