I met Lydia last year when she came to me for bridal makeup for her first wedding celebration at City Hall. She has an adorable nephew and wanted to make sure that he would still recognize his auntie after her makeup was done; After the trial, her nephew saw her and approved!
We had a nice peaceful morning getting ready at the Westin Prince hotel. Lydia looked stunning in her beautiful red gown that she had made back home in Indonesia. Lydia and I had a special connection and I definitely wanted to be able to do her makeup again for her second wedding celebration later that year, but with my baby #2 on the way I had to miss out on that opportunity!
Lydia, I wish you all the best! I’m thankful to have met you!
Thank you to my hairstylist Mary! Always fantastic work!
I’d been proudly doing makeup for Nobis for a few years when the creative director referred Joanne, his cousin, to me for bridal makeup. Of course I was equally as proud to be able to beautify yet another lovely and sweet bride. Joanne was so fun to work with; Such a bright and upbeat spirit!
We kept her daytime makeup natural. For the evening reception at Chateau le Jardin, we deepened it and added another half set of falsies to add volume and fluff to the lashes.
Another shout out to my team for doing amazing work as usual with hair and makeup! Thanks Mary, Josephine, Eliza and Shaelyn!

Congratulations Joanne and Shaun! Thank you for having me be a part of your magical day!
Once my sassy colleague Shannon got engaged, she immediately came to me to book me as her makeup artist! I was so flattered needless to say since she is a woman who knows exactly what she wants. Over the years, she has referred three of of her goods friends to me (see Azadeh’s wedding, as well as Agatha’s wedding) and was honoured when she asked me to do her makeup as well.
Some brides come to me knowing very little about makeup and not knowing what type of makeup look they would like, but not my Shannon! This lady knows her face well and knew right away that she wanted dramatic makeup on the upper lids and minimal on the lower. We focused on brightening her skin and on bringing her eyes forward.
This bridal party so much fun to work with and Shannon was a stunning bride to say the least; She looked like an absolute doll with her golden locks framing her face.
I’d also like to mention my fantastic makeup assistant, Eliza Tam. Like myself, she’s a perfectionist. She is always professional and takes her time to make sure that everyone feels beautiful. She did an awesome job on members of the bridal party!
A warm thank you also to Cliq Creative for providing the photos.
Thank you Shannon for having me as your makeup artist! It was an absolute pleasure! xoxo
Congratulations beautiful bride!
When my brother-in-law announced his engagement to my now sister-in-law, I was ecstatic! Not only is she beautiful, she is such a loving and thoughtful person. She always wears a huge smile on her sweet face and is so genuinely kind. I was honoured when she asked me to be her makeup artist for their special day.
After trying out a few makeup looks, we finally decided on the perfectly soft coral makeup with baby nude pink lips that would accentuate her eyes and match their coral winery wedding at Willow Springs Winery.
Thanks Amanda for having me beautify your already beautiful face on your marriage to Fred! xoxo
It’s been a lovely wedding season this year. As usual I’ve had the chance to meet and work with such lovely brides. This bride requested a very natural look with a focus on glowing skin and well groomed brows. We kept the eyes very natural opting for a set of shorter length falsies just to add some volume to her natural last line.
i’ve been so lucky to have had the opportunity to do makeup for so many kind and lovely brides. i want to thank all my friends and my previous brides for all of their referrals. every bride i’ve worked with has been so sweet including this beautiful bride. she was so trusting in my work and honestly so appreciative – such a pleasure and honour to work with!
for her wedding day, she wanted emphasis on her eyes and some nice and natural contouring. for her evening look, we just enhanced her daytime look by adding another half set of lashes to create more volume in her lashes and deepened the colours and contours.
congratulations my dear!

meet jenny, the easy-going and sweet as pie bride that was referred to me by my hairstylist danny mak from prowave hair salon:
she showed me an image of a makeup look that she liked where the bride had eye makeup with the inner corners brightly highlighted and fluffy lashes creating a wide doe-eyed look. since my bride has slightly monolid eyes i used deep brown matte eyeshadow to create shape on the upper lid and used a matte amber blusher to contour her eyes to give an illusion of depth. i then stacked a half set of lashes in the centre of the full set in order to create a rounder shape.
this is the genuinely sweet bride that put her complete trust in me for her makeup. she normally wears no makeup at all and was so open to trying whatever i had to suggest. originally, she had sent to me an image of korean inspired glowing skin makeup, but for her engagement shoot, since she was wearing a black textured dress and loves to wear her light grey colour contacts, i suggested a more smoky look to better contour her colour contacts. she was so open to trying the makeup. and for the day of her wedding, we went for the more natural look, focusing on highlights, contouring and glowing skin.
in the evening, we darkened the makeup every so slightly to accommodate for the dimmer lighting:
congratulations to this lovely bride! it was such a pleasure getting to know her!
i had so much fun doing makeup for this bubbly and energetic bride! she is by far the most fun-loving bride that i’ve had the opportunity to do makeup for! her entire bridal party was so fun and open to having COLOUR for their eyes.
the bride told me that she wanted dramatic eyes with lots, i mean LOTS of lashes! so to create this very smokey yet romantic dolly-eyed look, we doubled up the lashes and lined the lower lash line and waterline with deep brown gel liner to bring out her light brown eyes.
the makeup process was captured so well with my favorite wedding photographer, Leon Chai.
