I’ve known this beautiful bride and her lovely little sister since their years in high school. It was so unreal getting them ready for the bride’s wedding.

Getting ready for the two-day celebration was nothing short of perfect; A serene start at the family house in a room filled with sunlight and music.

The bride was stunning for both her Hindu and her modern western wedding celebrations. Her makeup was dramatic but not overpowering. We focused on a soft winged contour for the eyeshadow and bronzing blush paired with coral tones for the face. She was just stunning.

I have such fond memories of this bride. Being a part of her big day simply topped them off. Thank you for having me as your makeup artist!

She is amongst many of the brides that I’ve kept in touch with following the wedding. She’s so kind, fun and relaxed, which is precisely how getting ready for her special day was: fun and relaxed.

The makeup look that she wanted was timeless: a subtly smoky eye with burgundy lips. Eyeshadow was carefully blended layer by layer keeping it soft. Lipstick was painted on with a brush, with a nude rather than red lipliner base, again to keep it soft.

The bridal party, also so kind and relaxed, trusted me and my assistant to select a look that we thought suited them best. Everyone was beaming with happiness. Such a beautiful day.

Thank you letting me share in that happiness!

It’s always around wedding season that I remember and start getting around to updating my blog. Lucky for me, I have amazingly sweet brides who are willing to search through their wedding photos to send me some beautiful shots from their wedding day.

This beauty had the perfect face to wear these lashes that went on for miles! She opted for a lush red lips for her evening reception.

It was an absolute pleasure doing makeup for this super sweet and considerate bride.

Thank you for having me as your makeup artist!

This was a particularly special wedding because I have known the bride since she was wee little; She’s my bestie’s baby sister, so you can imagine how honoured (and nervous) I was when she asked me to be her makeup artist for her special day.

Her character is as sweet as pie, so of course we needed a makeup look that would match that. She chose to accentuate her lashes – just like a doll – and selected soft pink lips and cheeks to match her fair skin. She really did look like a porcelain doll!

Thank you for having me on your wedding day! You were truly stunning.

Being a working mom of two has left me little time to blog these days! I’m finally taking some time on this sunny day to write a post about a lovely bride that I had the opportunity to work with last year.

I do not exaggerate when I say that somehow I have been lucky enough to have only the sweetest brides book with me :). We are still in touch and I have become true friends with several of them.

This bride is among these lovely ladies. She is a natural beauty so naturally, she wanted a makeup look that would not be too dramatic. Although seemingly simple, this makeup look took a lot of thought. We tested it out a couple of times before deciding on which made her feel the most naturally beautiful. The look: focus on brows and lashes, glowing skin – lots of glow! and nude lips – not your typical nude though, a pink-beige.

Thank you for having me as your makeup artist and most of all, thank you for taking the time to keep in touch!

I met Lydia last year when she came to me for bridal makeup for her first wedding celebration at City Hall. She has an adorable nephew and wanted to make sure that he would still recognize his auntie after her makeup was done; After the trial, her nephew saw her and approved!

We had a nice peaceful morning getting ready at the Westin Prince hotel. Lydia looked stunning in her beautiful red gown that she had made back home in Indonesia. Lydia and I had a special connection and I definitely wanted to be able to do her makeup again for her second wedding celebration later that year, but with my baby #2 on the way I had to miss out on that opportunity!

Lydia, I wish you all the best! I’m thankful to have met you!

I’d been proudly doing makeup for Nobis for a few years when the creative director referred Joanne, his cousin, to me for bridal makeup. Of course I was equally as proud to be able to beautify yet another lovely and sweet bride. Joanne was so fun to work with; Such a bright and upbeat spirit!

We kept her daytime makeup natural. For the evening reception at Chateau le Jardin, we deepened it and added another half set of falsies to add volume and fluff to the lashes.

Another shout out to my team for doing amazing work as usual with hair and makeup! Thanks Mary, Josephine, Eliza and Shaelyn!
